Bella, our milking Jersey cow has had a baby calf. He is black because his dad is an Angus bull and they are always black. I milk Bella every day and make cheese and butter.
Sometimes John brings lambs home to have a feed of milk. The mothers sometimes cannot feed them well enough or they may even have died. We find them a new mum within a couple of days and off they go. But sometimes they are so cute we end up keeping them as a pet.
And of course Dooley helps out by keeping the bottoms clean...OH GROSS !
